Anna DeBeer expressed her feelings about her ex-teammates, Anna Stevenson Hall and Claire Chaussee, playing together after turning pro. Both the athletes have signed with LOVB Madison for their pro season.
DeBeer finished her NCAA career with Louisville Volleyball last month and is gearing up for her professional debut, slated for the latter part of January. Hall and Chausse were a part of the Louisville team during their collegiate careers, and they will again be seen playing together after turning pro, both having signed for LOVB Madison.
Anna made her feelings known about the reunion of her teammates, resharing a post by Louisville on her Instagram story, which stated they were ready for the pro season. Exuding excitement about them playing together, she added the caption:
"Can't wait to watch these 2 play together again🤩 @__Steevie__ @clairechaussee."
Anna DeBeer was unable to compete in the finals of the 2024 NCAA women's volleyball tournament, citing an injury she sustained during the semifinal match against Pittsburgh. Her team qualified for the finals, where they squared off against Penn State, where the latter dominated the match by 3-1 (25-23, 32-34, 25-20, 25-17).
Anna DeBeer expressed her disappointment after her team's loss at the finals
Anna DeBeer was heartbroken after her team's upset at the finals of the 2024 NCAA women's volleyball tournament. Following this, she appeared in an interview with WDRB News, where she was visibly in tears over the loss of her team.
DeBeer reflected on her journey, including the injury and the hard work she and her team did for the NCAA competition.
“It's very unfortunate, just the situation with my injury, and it just seemed like all the stars were aligning for such a perfect game in Louisville, finishing my career. We worked so freaking hard all year to get where we are, and it was just so close. So, I think that's what's really hard," DeBeer said.
Anna DeBeer further appreciated freshman Payton Petersen, who filled her place during the finals.
“But I'm so extremely proud of just the way everyone fought tonight and the way Payton Petersen, as a freshman, took on such a hard role. I'm just so proud of the way she went in and did what she needed to do. We just said it wasn't our best day; it wasn’t always going our way, but that second set showed the fight that our team has in us. But I would have done anything to be out there, and that's the hardest part.”
DeBeer will start her pro season with the Indy Ignite volleyball team and was recently seen celebrating New Year with her new teammates.
