Anna Hall opens up about an injury-ridden year ahead of the Paris Olympics 2024
Anna Hall is amped up to perform at the Paris Olympics after securing her berth with notable performances at the US Trials. The American sustained a serious injury during a training session ahead of the 2023 World Athletics Championships.
She suffered a knee injury, including a PCL and bone bruises, which eventually forced her to undergo surgery. In an interview with Citius Mag, following her 2024 Olympic Trials win, Hall reflected on a year filled with injuries.
"This year has just been like so, so hard and I think my coaches and those around me can attest to that," Hall said. "There were a lot of days where I was like, ‘Track’s not fun anymore. Like is this worth it? I don’t think this is going to work. I feel like the emotions coming from there to be like, ‘Wow, we really did this’ just all flooded out of me.”
Anna Hall now has her eyes on making an incredible comeback at the Paris Olympics and will be seen competing there in the heptathlon events, which are slated for August 8.
