Former track athlete Justin Gatlin reacted to the rumor of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Elaine Thompson-Herah rejoining their former coach Stephen Francis at the MVP Track Club. This comes just a few weeks after Fraser-Pryce broke ties with Reynaldo Walcott.

Fraser-Pryce (2006-2020) and Thompson-Herah spent a large part of their track careers under the mentorship of Francis. Both the Jamaican athletes were also immensely successful during this period as they clinched numerous Olympic and World Championship laurels.

Now with the recent rumours of this association, it has provided a sense of excitement among track pundits such as Rodney Green and Gatlin. On the latest episode of the Ready Set Go podcast, the two opened up about this rumored reunion of these track athletes with Francis. Green said (0:10):

"There is a rumor that Shelly-Ann went back to Franno (Stephen Francis) and Elaine went back to Franno and we all know that with Shericka (Jackson) those three might shake up things a lot."

Justin Gatlin added (00:50 onwards):

"So what are you trying to tell me that the band's getting back together? I feel that right there needs to be a documentary itself. Like watching all these ladies and Franno come back together for a special year in 2025, it might be some of their last hurrahs, and like to really watch them train hard like they ever trained before."

Stephen Francis is one of the most experienced track coaches on the circuit. Besides the likes of Thompson-Herah and Fraser-Pryce, Francis has also coached other high-profile athletes such as Kishane Thompson and Asafa Powell. He is also the current coach of the five-time Olympic medalist, Shericka Jackson.

Justin Gatlin who clinched five Olympic medals over his career, shed light on the clash between Tyreek Hill and Noah Lyles. This comes after months of trash-talking between the two on social media and podcasts.

In an episode of the Ready Set Go podcast, Gatlin stated that the NFL wide receiver might be on the advantageous side due to the timing of the clash. He said (at 5:05):

"The best advantage that Tyreek Hill has is catching Noah while not at his sharpest."

Lyles has been out of action ever since the Paris Olympics and has been busy with his off-track endeavours. Justin Gatlin feels that this might be a major deciding factor in the race.
