Ariarne Titmus attended Novak Djokovic's third-round clash against Tomas Machac at the 2025 Australian Open in an all-white outfit as she continues her commentating stint at the Grand Slam tournament. The Australian swimmer is part of the broadcasting team of Channel Nine.
Titmus shared her outfit for the day alongside journalist Kate Hutchison in an Instagram story on Friday, January 17, and the pair were dressed in stunning all-white outfits.
She also caught up with fellow Australian swimmer Emma McKeon in the Rod Laver Arena before seemingly cheering for Novak Djokovic.
The 24-year-old was sitting in the stands behind the 24-time Grand Slam champion, who cruised to a dominant victory in straight sets against Thomas Machac. She also attended the Serb's charity exhibition match earlier at the start of the tournament, and expressing her awe, she wrote:
“A Night with Novak. Thank you @tennisaustralia for an amazing evening courtside! I'm looking forward to seeing more tennis action over the next couple of weeks working with @wwos.”
Titmus is one of the most decorated Australian swimmers and won six medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics including two golds. She also holds world records in the 200m and 400m freestyle events.
Ariarne Titmus explains her decision to commentate at the 2025 Australian Open
Ariarne Titmus was selected to be part of the Channel Nine network's coverage of the 2025 Australian Open alongside Canoe Olympic champion Jess Fox. While she has no commentating experience, Titmus has been a lifelong tennis fan and said she was excited to take on the new challenge.
'I have always been a tennis fan and having the chance to be at the Australian Open in this capacity is very exciting. The AO encompasses Australian culture and our love for sport as a nation. It will be a new and challenging experience being on the other end of the mic, but one I am very grateful for," Ariarne Titmus told News Corp.
The four-time Olympic champion also explained that it was a chance to grow her skills outside of the swimming pool.
"I’m [also] looking forward to working alongside a great team and broadening my skills outside of the pool," she added.
Titmus shot to international fame at the 2019 World Championships when she ended the six-year winning streak of USA's Katie Ledecky in the 400m freestyle. She beat the American swimmer at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games as well and has also broken her world record in the event.
