Quincy Wilson shattered the U18 400m World Record once again at the Holloway Pro Classic a week before the Paris Olympics. The 16-year-old American athlete clocked 44.20s to win the Men's 400m at the event thereby breaking the world record for the third time in less than a month.

Quincy Wilson continued his impressive run of form through some brilliant running at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials held in Hayward Field in June 2024. He dominated his heats along with the semi-finals creating the world records consecutively in two days. In the finals, Wison finished sixth after clocking 44.94s.

After winning the Men's 400m at the Holloway Pro Classic, the teenager spoke about his impressive campaign at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials. Wilson believed that he could produce a better performance as he felt that something was left out.

"So couple of weeks ago in the finals of the trials, I knew I left something out. I told my coach, ‘I don’t want to feel that feeling again. I want to go try again.’ I put in work for two weeks. I came out here and executed my race. And showed what I left out at the Trials. It's still left. I had a lot left," he said.

Moreover, the teenager spoke about clocking a personal best every time he competes in Florida.

"Every time I come here, I run a PR. I love it here in Florida. I love the weather. I might tell my mom, 'Let's move down to Florida one day!'," he added.

I'm not in high school anymore I'm running with the big dogs. so I decided to come out here and give it my all," added Quincy Wilson.

Quincy Wilson will be in action in the Men's 4x400m relay at the upcoming Paris Olympics, which will mark his debut at the coveted quadrennial Games.
