The Atlanta City Games 2024 finally concluded on May 18 after delivering some of the most powerful performances by top-notch athletes. The Piedmont Park shined bright with the glamor of victories on Day 2 of the competition. A set of notable performances were witnessed like the 150m race, where Noah Lyles dominated the track and tied the American record.
Not just Lyles, but Candace Hill also had put forward a remarkable performance in the women's 150m event at the Atlanta City Games. She faced a terrific showdown with her training partner Favour Ofili and clinched gold after clocking a time of 16.293 seconds and with a difference of just 0.006 seconds, Ofili secured the second position. Her timing was 16.299.
Lyles tied Tyson Gay's American record of 14.41 seconds and was just 0.06 seconds away from equalling Usain Bolt's 150m record. Zharnel Hughes came second in the 150m event at the Atlanta City Games, clocking 14.66 seconds. From pole vault to long jump, to 200m race, all the track and field events delivered elite wins at the Atlanta City Games.
