American swimmer Caeleb Dressel shared a heartfelt post on his social media to celebrate his son August Wilder Dressel turning three months old. Caeleb Dressel is currently preparing to participate in his third consecutive Olympics, where he will be defending his five titles in the French waters in July.
Dressel will be battling it out with his compatriots at the US Olympic swimming trials schedule, which will take place from June 15 to June 23 in Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana.
During an interview with Forbes in March this year, the 21-time world champion revealed that he is mainly focused on the 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter freestyle, and 100-meter butterfly.
Amid all these updates, Dressel is currently embracing his time with his son. Dressel and his wife Meghan Haila welcomed their firstborn on February 17 this year, and this month marked August's third month anniversary. On Thursday, the swimmer shared a series of cute pictures of his little one on Instagram and wrote:
"Just the best. Body by milk."
Dressel also shared a similar post last month for his son's two-month anniversary and wrote an endearing caption that read:
"Little beast is 2 months old!"
What changes is Caeleb Dressel experiencing in his life after welcoming his baby boy
Caeleb Dressel and Meghan Dressel crossed paths during a swimming meet in their high school days in Florida and became friends later. The two reportedly started dating in 2013 and tied the knot in 2021 after years of being together. The arrival of their son, August Wilder, marked a new chapter in their lives.
However, there are certain changes that the swimmer experienced after August's birth. During an interview with Forbes, Dressel stated:
"I have discovered Meghan has a lot more patience than I do, which is my wife, but it's just been a really fun chapter for both of us. I think viewing Meghan differently, especially after the delivery room, and watching her care for my baby boy, like it's just one of those special things ever," he told Forbes.
Talking about his son, the Olympian said:
"And then also my son, like, it's still weird for me to say. It's been tough; it's been really tough. I wouldn't change anything, and it's extremely rewarding. I think that's the best part."
He also added that August has just started to smile and described it as one of the most beautiful things.
