Caitlin Clark was one of the WNBA basketball stars who was present at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Tuesday, June 18, for the US Olympics Swimming Trials. The 22-year-old is one of the recent additions to Indianapolis's home WNBA team, the Indiana Fevers.
Clark had gone there for a facilitation ceremony as part of the Women in Sports Night. She was clearly thrilled to be present at a significant event and was enjoying herself immensely.
In one of the clips that were shared by the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of USA Swimming, the Indiana Fevers point guard was clearly having some fun as she was seen touching the water in the pool. After the video went viral on X, fans posted some sarcastic comments.
One of the fans wrote:
"Worlds collide, part 2. First the Ledeckys go to the Fever game and end up batting away the ball after Angel Reese’s flagrant foul on Caitlin Clark. Now Clark and her teammates come to the Olympic trials — where Clark is greeted with a massive roar from the crowd."
"Everyone loves the water! Caitlin trying to keep the Fever cool!!" wrote another
"She's such a bully y'all, just so unbothered"
Here are some of the other reactions:
"This is too cute! Have fun Fever and to the swimmers y’all are amazing," stated a fan
"Breaking News: Caitlin Clark will be representing USA at the Olympics as a swimmer," another fan wrote.
"Caitlin Clark’s gonna make the USA Olympic team — one way or another…. LOL!" joked another.
Caitlin Clark lead Indiana Fevers' triumph over Chicago Sky
Clark produced a staggering performance on Sunday as she helped her team, Indiana Fevers, beat Chicago Sky in a thrilling contest. The former IOWA Hawkeyes player amassed 23 points across the four quarters of the match. Besides, she also added eight rebounds and nine assists to help her side clinch an important victory.
After her disastrous performance in Friday's (June 14) game against the Atalanta Dream, Clerk will also find great personal satisfaction in this performance. Even though the Indiana Fevers won the contest comprehensively with a margin of 91-84, Clerk's performance in the match was quite disappointing when compared to the high standards that she has set for herself. In the 35 minutes that she played, the 22-year-old scored seven points, grabbed four rebounds, and managed six assists.
However, despite the win on Sunday, Indiana Fevers are not in a comfortable position on the table. The team is in fourth place in the Eastern Conference table with just five wins and ten losses.
