Noah Lyles has called out Tyreek Hill, DK Metcalf, and Xavier Worthy for a 'Track vs NFL' sprinting clash during the Pro Bowl. The American sprinter is scheduled for a 50-yard race against Hill in the spring of 2025.
The Miami Dolphins wideout challenged Lyles for a race earlier this year after his gold medal triumph at the 2024 Paris Olympics. While the pair disagreed over the distance initially, they settled for 50 yards before Lyles announced the event was going to be at the level of the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight.
The two-time Olympian has now proposed an all-out 'Track vs NFL' sprinting event against the likes of Hill, DK Metcalf, and the NFL combine record holder Xavier Worthy. Speaking with fellow Olympians Rai Benjamin and Grant Halloway on the Beyond The Records podcast, the trio discussed the possibility of setting up a mega event with main card and undercards for a sprint clash against NFL players.
"If Noah is going to do Tyreek, we can get Christian Coleman and Xavier Worthy and I'll take the undercard (against DK Metcalf)," Halloway said in a snippet posted by the podcast's official X account.
Lyles formally made the proposition on X, writing:
"Let’s Set this up a Track Vs. NFL Event."
While Lyles and Hill will race over 50 yards, Coleman vs Worthy and Halloway vs Metcalf could take tentatively take place in a 40-yard dash.
Worthy is the fastest NFL sprinter at the moment with a personal best of 4.21s over a 40-yard distance while Coleman is the world record holder in the 60m dashes and has clocked an unofficial time of 4.12s in the 40-yard dash. Halloway, a 110m hurdles Olympic champion, has clocked 4.32s in a 40-yard dash while Metcalf is 0.01s slower than him over the same distance.

Noah Lyles has faced a lot of flak for his World Champions' diss at the 2023 World Championships and while it was directed towards the NBA, NFL and MLB players also got offended. When Tyreek Hill was asked about his views on Lyles' comments during an appearance on the Up & Adams podcast, he replied:
“Noah Lyles can’t say nothing after what just happened to him.” (via Give Me Sport)
He further added that the sprinter had faked his COVID-19 illness after finishing third in the 200m finals.
“He wants to come out and pretend like he’s sick - I feel like that’s horseradish. So for him to do that and say that we’re not world champions of our sport. Come on, bruh, just speak on what you know about and that’s track," Hill added.
While it would officially mark the start of the beef between the two, Lyles' COVID-19 claims were proven true after the release of the second part of the Netflix docuseries "Sprint", which largely focused on the American's campaign at the Paris Olympics.
