Canadian Swimming Olympic Trials final results: Summer McIntosh continues winning streak, Josh Liendo sets 100m butterfly Canadian record

The Canadian Swimming Olympic Trials 2024 concluded on Sunday, May 19, 2024. The top Canadian swimmers commenced competing on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the "Fastest Pool in Canada," at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre in Ontario.

The final day of the Trials featured multiple events for women and men, including the para-events, 200m individual medley, 100m butterfly, 50m freestyle, and 200m freestyle. The swimming events at the 2024 Paris Olympics will be held at the Paris La Défense Arena from July 27 to August 4, 2024.

TYR Pro Swim Series Knoxville - Day 2 Summer McIntosh secures first place in the women's 200m IM at the 2024 Canadian Swimming Trials.

Summer McIntosh continued her winning streak on the last day of the 2024 Canadian Swimming Olympic Trials by securing the top position in the women's 200m IM, clocking a spectacular 2:07.06 to earn a berth at the Paris Olympics.

Along with McIntosh, Sydney Pickrem, Mary-Sophie Harvey, and Ashley McMillan also earned their Olympic spots in the event, registering times of 2:07.68, 2:09.57, and 2:11.00, respectively.

Josh Liendo set a new Canadian record in the men's 100m butterfly event, posting a stunning time of 50.06 seconds. Along with Liendo, Ilya Kharun and Finlay Knox clinched the Olympic spots, clocking 51.09 and 51.42 seconds, respectively.
