Lindsey Vonn recently showcased her support for the US skiing team by attending the FIS Cross Country World Cup. She shared a glimpse of her appearance at the event with her teammates Jessie Diggins, Julia Kern, and Sophia Laukli.

The FIS Cross Country World Cup is an annual series of cross-country skiing competitions organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS). It stands as one of the most prestigious events in the sport, featuring top athletes from across the globe.

The legendary alpine skier demonstrated her unwavering support for the US Ski Team by attending the event, and shared a photo on Instagram accompanied by the caption:

"Went to cheer on these bada** women today!!"

In the event, Therese Johaug clinched her fourth Tour de Ski title by winning the women's 10km Mass start Free in Val di Fiemme, Italy, on January 5, 2025. She completed the race in 25 minutes and 59 seconds, finishing 25.5 seconds ahead of Astrid Øyre Slind and Jessie Diggins.

Lindsey Vonn's teammates delivered impressive performances in the challenging 20k skiathlon. Diggins maintained her strong form throughout, finishing fifth. Kern achieved a career-best result, securing seventh place. Despite a fall and broken pole on the first lap, Laukli mounted a fierce comeback, powering through the next five laps and charging up the steep climbs to finish 20th.

Recently, Vonn officially announced her return to competitive skiing, marking an exciting new chapter in her career.

Lindsey Vonn retired from competitive skiing in February 2019 after enduring a series of injuries, particularly to her knee. In October 2018, she announced that she would retire at the conclusion of the 2018-2019 season. However, after a successful knee surgery in April 2024, the Olympic gold medalist confirmed her return to competitive games in December 2024.

Her comeback was marked by a 14th-place finish in the Super G World Cup race in St. Moritz, Switzerland, in December 2024. She shared her excitement and gratitude on Instagram. She wrote:

"I’m officially BACK!! 🙌🏻❤️.It’s been 2,162 days since my last World Cup race (almost 6 years!), but yesterday, I got back in the starting gate and competed once again. I finished 14th, which was a perfect place to start. This is only the beginning, though, and I’m looking forward to all of the adventures that lie ahead.Thank you to everyone who made this weekend so incredible! My team, my family, the organizers, volunteers, and all of the amazing fans… THANK YOU!!"

Lindsey Vonn also expressed her appreciation for the support of her team, family, event organizers, volunteers, and fans in her post.
