Olympian sprinter Christian Coleman recently reacted to Olympic champion sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson's photoshoot for a magazine. The 24-year-old sprinter recently posed for the Essence Magazine.
The Essence Magazine uploaded a couple of photographs with Richardson, which was a prelude to their upcoming edition for January 2025. The magazine posted on its Instagram page,
"On Your Mark, Get Set, Go! Coming to you faster than the World Champion herself, we’re running a back-to-back with our exclusive subscribers cover.
Sha’Carri Richardson’s exclusive subscriber’s cover celebrates the strength, grace, and unapologetic power that she brings both to the track and to life."
Coleman uploaded a promotional reel from the same, and wrote in the caption of his Instagram story,
"Oh, Wow. Okay"
Previously, Coleman also attended the NFL game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Falcons. Richardson was seen cheering for the Falcons, as she showed up on the video board. Coleman appreciated the move by uploading a snippet from the match on his Instagram story.
"RISE UP!!" Coleman captioned the story.
There have been rumors that the relationship between Sha'Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman is much more than just mutual admiration. However, none of the athletes have spoken about the matter.
Sha'Carri Richardson on deciding to opt for therapy
Sha'Carri Richardson recently opened up about the importance of therapy in her life, and the role that it played during her stint at the Paris Olympics. After the photoshoot for Essence magazine, Richardson talked about how therapy helped her overcome the dark period of her career.
"I feel like therapy came from knowing that I needed it, and also being able to have a safe place to decompress—when I don’t have to worry about the world, or being an athlete, or being a friend, or being a daughter or anything. I could go into therapy and just be me," she mentioned.
For the unversed, Richardson's career almost came to an end when she was reportedly accused of drug violations in 2021. Though it turned out that Richardson had involuntarily taken cannabis, she was suspended for a year, which made her miss out on the Tokyo Olympics. Richardson also missed out on the 2022 World Championships for the same reason.
However, she bounced back in time for the Budapest World Championships held in 2023, where she won gold medals in both the women's 100m and the women's 4x100m relay events. Richardson went on to win a silver medal in women's 100m and a gold medal in the women's 4x100m relay at the Paris Olympics.
