Christian Coleman shares an insight into his training for 2025
Christian Coleman had a long 2024 season, as he began competing in February. Running indoors, the sprinter won the 60m event at the Millrose Games, but a week later, he was outdone at the USA Indoor Championships by compatriot Noah Lyles. However, he claimed revenge at the World Indoor Championships in March, winning gold in the 60m with a time of 6.41s in the final, while Lyles clinched silver.
Coleman began his outdoor season in April, running at the Miramar Invitational, where he placed second in the 200m. He then went on to win the 100m sprint at the Wanda Diamond League and the Prefontaine Classic, while finishing second in the distance at the Suzhou Diamond League.
Up next, the American entered the US Olympic Trials as a favorite to finish on the podium in the 100m, but was pushed into fourth position. As a result, he failed to qualify for the Paris Olympics individually, but was named to the relay team.
While Coleman returned for the Games without a medal, he wrapped up his season with second place finishes at the Rome Diamond League and the Brussels Diamond League Finals. Now, the sprinter is busy training for the 2025 season. He recently gave fans a look into his preparations for the year ahead, taking to Instagram to share glimpses of him in the gym and on the track. He caption the photos,
“Way too deep in this 💩, can't go back now.”
As the 2025 season draws closer, Christian Coleman is yet to reveal his competition plans for the year. However, with the World Championships lined up in September, the sprinter's focus is likely to be trained on that.
