Snoop Dogg shared a series of photos of himself in the Team USA 2024 Olympic uniform on social media. The American rapper will be part of NBC's Universal Coverage and will provide regular reports from the Games in the French capital.
Snoop Dogg said recently that he grew up watching the Olympics, and has previously shared that some of his earliest memories of watching the Olympic Games involve Bruce Jenner and Edwin Moses, among others. The 52-year-old did a small commentary gig during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and his commentary of dressage events went viral on the internet.
Earlier this year in January, Snoop Dogg signed a contract with NBC to act as a "Special Correspondent" for the broadcasting organization during the Paris Olympics. He said he would bring his own style to the commentary, and that it was "going to be the most epic Olympics ever."
The 52-year-old attended the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials last month and has now also started preparations for Paris as the Games near. He has been spotted getting pictured for headshots and medal stand photos in the Team USA uniform, the pictures receiving plenty of comments from fans on social media.
"Cannot wait for the Snoop Dogg Olympic commentary," a fan wrote.
"Looking forward to watching Snoop's commentary on the Olympics!!!," another fan wrote.
"Commentator Uncle snoop the best part of the Olympics," a user added.
Several users also expressed their love for the American hip-hop icon, who is now ready to light up the biggest sporting event in the French capital.

Snoop Dogg says he hopes to try 50m freestyle swim in Paris, following 200m sprint at Olympic Trials
During the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials, Snoop Dogg competed in an exhibition 200m race and clocked a time of 34.44s. That was an impressive time given he is 52 years old, and now the rapper-turned-sometime-commentator wants to try his hand at more sports at the Paris Olympics 2024 during his ‘Special Correspondent’ stint.
"I definitely want to roll with the [U.S.] basketball team. And I definitely want to try to get in the water. See if I can get a 50-[second] time out of myself in the 50-meter freestyle," he replied when Time asked him about what he would do in Paris.
"I'm just a kid that's living his dream. I ran the 200 today. I wanted to do the pole vault till I seen what that s**t looks like. I was like, ‘No way.’ I’ll try the high jump. It don’t require poles and holding [them] in the air," the 52-year-old added.
Snoop Dogg also expressed his admiration for the 100m world champion Sha'Carri Richardson, who will be lining up in her first Olympic Games after missing the Tokyo Games due to a doping suspension. The American rapper had publicly expressed his support for her following her suspension in 2021.
