A total of 16 Russian athletes will be competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics as Individual Neutral Athletes (AINs). These athletes earned their spots for the Paris 2024 Olympics based on their performance in qualifying competitions and whether they met the eligibility requirements of the International Federations.

In the wake of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, many international sports organizations banned Russian athletes from competition. As a result, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) set up a process for these athletes to compete in the Olympic Games, provided that they were approved by their sports' world federations and then by the IOC itself.

One important requirement that was followed was that athletes must not have supported Russia's war on Ukraine or have ties to the military.

Following this process, the IOC invited athletes to participate in the quadrennial games. While some athletes accepted the invitations to compete, many others declined to be a part of the event. Therefore, Russia will have a representation of only 16 athletes at the Paris Olympics from sports like Tennis, Canoe, Cycling, Wrestling, and Swimming. These athletes will compete under the neutral banner.

The 2021 US Open champion, Daniil Medvedev is one of the prominent names to watch out for at the quadrennial games after he accepted his invitation to compete at the event. Besides Medvedev, Mirra Andreeva, Ekaterina Alexandrova, Roman Safiullin, Pavel Kotov, Diana Shnaider, and Elena Vesnina are the Russian athletes who will feature as neutral athletes in tennis events.

Shamil Mamedov, a bronze medalist at the 2023 World Championships in the 65kg category (competing as a neutral athlete), will be the sole Russian wrestler at the Paris Olympics.

Joining the ranks of neutral athletes are Russian canoeists Aleksei Korovashkov, Zakhar Petrov, and Olesia Romasenko. The road cycling event will also see three representatives from Russia: Tamara Dronova, Alena Ivanchanko, and Gleb Syritsa. Finally, Anzhela Bladtceva will be the sole Russian athlete competing in trampoline gymnastics.
