NCAA swimmer-turned-social activist Riley Gaines recently reacted to the New York subway incident. A woman was reportedly burnt alive by an illegal immigrant in the New York subway.
According to the media reports, the accused was an illegal immigrant who was previously deported to Guatemala, his original homeland. However, the immigrant somehow made his way back to the USA. The accused is currently under the custody of New York Police.
Gaines reacted to the situation as she posted on her X handle:
"We're witnessing the planned and controlled destruction of this country"
In another post, Gaines called out the authorities for not addressing the concerns around illegal immigration, as she stated:
"Let me get this straight, the same people who said people like Daniel Penny make the subways unsafe have been totally silent after an illegal set a sleeping woman on fire in the subway ??? Got it"
Apart from campaigning against the inclusion of transgender athletes in women's sports, Riley Gaines has also persistently campaigned for stricter measures in terms of illegal immigration. The 24-year-old social activist had also campaigned against the outgoing vice-president Kamala Harris in the context of illegal immigration, and the forceful imposition of the Title IX changes.
Riley Gaines takes a dig at Rosa DeLauro for recommending female crash dummies for vehicle safety
Recently, Riley Gaines also reacted to the recommendations put forward by outgoing Democrat senator Rosa DeLauro in terms of vehicular safety. The 81-year-old member of the House of Representatives maintained that female crash dummies should be increased in order to maintain gender equity in vehicle safety.
“It is critical to fund the use of female crash test dummies for road equity. This will fight the gender inequity in vehicle safety,” she said.
Gaines reacted to the situation by commenting on her X handle:
"She literally looks like a Snapchat filter"
Gaines had also called out the panelists of the ABC talk show "The View" over their approach towards the proposal put forward by Nancy Mace. The Republican senator had expressed objection towards the transgender congresswomen using the women's restroom at Capitol Hill, including trans congresswoman Sarah McBride, and called for restrictions on the same.
However, when the panelists on "The View" mocked Mace, Gaines reacted to the same by commenting:
"I'm so tired of the "it's just one person!" argument. Yes, it's ONE narcissistic man but he's imposing himself on ALL women."
Riley Gaines has been fighting to exclude transgender athletes from women's sports since 2022. She has also campaigned against the inclusion of transgender athletes like Imane Khelif at the Paris Olympics, as well as Blaire Fleming in the NCAA Mountain West Conference volleyball league.
