With the 2024 World Wrestling Championships underway from Monday (Oct 28), David Taylor and Jordan Burroughs' brackets have taken shape. Both Taylor and Burroughs's first matches are scheduled for Wednesday (Oct 30) and the finals will be held on Thursday.
Taylor will compete in the 92 Kg weight category and will face two-time Olympic medalist Abdulrashid Sadulaev in the opening round. This is one of the most hyped contests in this 2024 Championships event, featuring two decorated wrestlers going head-to-head on a grand stage.
If he manages to win his opening clash against Sadulaev, Taylor will face the winner of the match between Redjep Hajdari and Abubakr Abakarov in the second round.

David Taylor opens up about facing Abdulrashid Sadulaev in the 2024 World Wrestling Championships
David Taylor recently commented on his potential match against Abdulrashi Sadulaev in the 2024 World Wrestling Championships. This came before the brackets for the tournament were disclosed on Sunday (Oct 27).
In an interview with FloWrestling, Taylor stated that facing Sadulaev in the tournament would be a 'fun' experience for him. He mentioned that he has been thinking about this match recently. He said:
"I think it's gonna be a fun challenge. So, gotta be ready to go. There's respect among two great competitors and I mean sure it's going to be a tough match. So I've closing my eyes and visualizing little bit of what this match will look like and you know it's fun knowing it will be in a couple of days. "
Taylor is all set to face Sadulav in the first round.
