Katie Ledecky put forward an incredible performance at the U.S. Olympic trials in the 400m free and qualified for her fourth consecutive Olympic trials. The American athlete established clear dominance throughout her in the 400m freestyle and won the race with a formidable lead.

Katie Ledecky joined Jill Sterkel, Jenny Thompson, Dara Torres, Allison Schmitt, and Amanda Beard to become the sixth American woman to qualify for her fourth Olympic Games. She clocked 3:58.35 in the 400m freestyle final to book a berth in her fourth consecutive Olympic Games.

Katie Ledecky's remarkable win on Day 1 of the U.S. swimming Olympic trials impressed swimming fans as she marched onto her fourth Olympic appearance in Paris. The star American swimmer still has three more events at the Olympics, namely the 100m, 200m, and the 800m freestyle.

Ledecky lost to Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh for the first time in 13 years in the 800m freestyle earlier this year and is all set to compete in the event at the Olympic trials in the coming days. She spoke about her 400m freestyle race in a post-race interview.

" I walked out of this tunnel and just took a look around and just enjoyed the moment. We've come a long and it's really great that you all came out to support us. Been an amazing first night," she said.

The 400m freestyle at the Paris Olympics is set to be one of the top contests of the games, with Katie Ledecky, Summer McIntosh, and Ariarne Titmus competing against each other for the ultimate Olympic crown.
