Jamaican track and field athlete Elaine Thompson-Herah recently shared glimpses of her new look just a few days after her Christmas celebrations.
Off-late, the Jamaican sprinter has been spending some quality time away from the track amid these festivities. She took to her Instagram handle to share a couple of glimpses in her stories.
In the post, the 32-year-old can be seen donning a white top and bi-color jacket and complementing it with black denim pants and a red cap while showing her toned abs.
She also added a second picture in which the Jamaican can be seen in a mirror selfie while seemingly in a shopping mall.
Elaine Thompson-Herah has been out for most of the 2024 track and field season due to injuries and also couldn't defend her 100m and 200m titles at the quadrennial games.
Elaine Thompson-Herah shares her aspiration for the 2025 track and field season
Elaine Thompson-Herah opened up about her aspiration for the 2025 season. During the first season of Netflix's Sprint docuseries, the 32-year-old said she wishes to stay fit and healthy for the next year.
Thompson-Herah also mentioned the critics who commented about her being unable to make a comeback and stated that she has realized during her time in the discipline that one should not be underestimated. She said (via the Sprint docuseries):
"For me, it is all about being the best. I know it is gonna be fire and better things to come. For me, next year is about staying healthy and being back on the top. Everyone knew me as a runner, but naysayers would say, ‘You would not make it; you are not good.’ But I’ve been part of the sport for the past 11 years, and I’ve learned that you should never let anybody tell you you cannot."
Thompson-Herah's last track meet came back in June when she competed in the USATF New York City Grand Prix and finished ninth in the 100m race after clocking 11.48 seconds.
