Elaine Thompson-Herah gave a sneak peek into her Christmas celebrations in her recent update. The Jamaican athlete wrapped up her 2024 season after participating at the USATF New York City Grand Prix.
The 2024 season was a short one for Thompson-Herah, as she only competed in two events, namely, the Prefontaine Classic and the USATF NYC Grand Prix. She earned a ninth-place finish in both of them and suffered an Achilles injury at the latter event. This injury led to Thompson-Herah's withdrawal from the Jamaican trials, meaning that she would be able to compete at the Paris Olympics.
After her season-ending injury, the Jamaican enjoyed her downtime and shared glimpses of how she was spending time outside of the track. Currently, the athlete is enjoying the holiday season and has showcased how she celebrated the occasion on social media.
She shared a carousel of pictures and videos on her Instagram, where she posed in front of a Christmas-decorated car while she donned a denim jacket and skirt with a white top under them and paired the entire outfit with black-colored boots. Along with this, she also shared the scenic beauty of her city. The post's caption read:
