Emma McKeon has expressed her thoughts about her experience at the 2025 Australian Open. The Olympic champion retired from swimming last year and is now enjoying her life back in Melbourne.
McKeon attended several tennis matches at the recently concluded tournament on Monday and got to experience the player arrival area. The 14-time Olympic medalist shared the pictures from her trip on her Instagram stories and wrote:
"Such a cool experience."

In an earlier update on her Instagram, the 30-year-old expressed joy at spending her first summer break after retirement and shared pictures of her quality time with boyfriend and actor Cody Simpson.
"My first summer break and soaking it all up 🌸," Emma McKeon wrote.
McKeon was born into a family of swimmers and excelled in the sport right from her junior years. However, she narrowly failed to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics, missing the team by just one place.
The 30-year-old eventually made her debut at the 2016 Rio Olympics and secured her maiden gold medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay. She won a bronze medal in the 200m freestyle and silver medals in the 4x200m freestyle and 4x100m medley relay.
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the Australian swimmer was at her relentless best and tied the record for most medals by a female at the Olympics. She won four golds and three bronze medals, making her the most decorated athlete across all sports at the event.
McKeon ended her career with three more medals, including one gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, to retire as Australia's most decorated Olympian. She also won 20 medals each at the World Championships and Commonwealth Games.
Emma McKeon echoes Alexander Zverev's message to Australian fans to show respect to Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic was booed by the crowd at the 2025 Australian Open after the Serb withdrew mid-game from the semifinals against Alexander Zverev. While Zverev received an automatic entry into the finals, the German urged the fans during his on-court interview to show respect to the 24-time Grand Slam champion.
“The very first thing I want to say is, please, guys, don't boo a player when he goes out with injury. I know that everybody paid for tickets and everybody wants to see, hopefully a great five-set match and everything. But you got to understand, Novak Djokovic is somebody that has given the sport for the past 20 years absolutely everything of his life,"
“And he has won this tournament with an abdominal tear. He has won this tournament with a hamstring tear. If he cannot continue a tennis match, it really means he cannot continue a tennis match. So, please be respectful. And really show some love for Novak as well,” he said
Emma Mckeon, who has taken a liking to tennis following her retirement, agreed with Zverev and said:
"Absolutely."
Zverev fell in straight sets to Jannik Sinner in the finals on Sunday, suffering his third straight defeat in the Grand Slam finals, while the Italian lifted his third majors and second straight Australian Open title.
