European Athletics Championships 2024 Final Results: Jakob Ingebrigtsen tops 1500m, Mondo Duplantis registers pole vault championship record

The 2024 European Athletics Championships concluded on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, not before witnessing a few electrifying performances from the elite athletes. The 6-Day event commenced on Friday, June 7, 2024.

The European elite athletes stepped on the Stadio Olimpico in Roma, Italy, to show their prospects ahead of the 2024 Summer Games in the French capital. Day 6 of the 2024 European Athletics Championships witnessed Norwegian sensation Jakob Ingebrigtsen secure his third European title in the 1500m after 2018 and 2022.

Ingebrigtsen clocked an impressive time to register a championship record with 3:31.95. He achieved this feat by defeating Jochem Vermeulen and Pietro Arese, who registered 3:33.30 and 3:33.34, respectively.

Mondo Duplantis posts championship record to secure his third Pole Vault title at the 2024 European Athletics Championships

Mondo Duplantis secured his third European title in the pole vault event at the 2024 European Athletics Championships. The Swedish-American pole vaulter registered a championship record of 6.10m to surpass Emmanouil Karalis (5.87m) and Ersu Sasma (5.82m).

The Dutch and Belgian squads dominated the women's and men's 4x400m relay events, respectively. Keely Hodgkinson secured her second European title in 800m after posting a stunning time of 1:58.65.
