Stephen Nedoroscik corrected fans who were calling his 'musicality' bad after losing to Dancing With The Stars partner Rylee Arnold in a clapping challenge. The two are set to compete for the Mirror Ball trophy on Tuesday, November 26.

Nedoroscik received the offer for DWTS following his emphatic performances at the 2024 Paris Olympics, leading the USA men's gymnastics team to its first medal since the 2008 Games. He was paired with Arnold, who is a professional ballroom dancer and competed in the 2023 edition as well.

Despite Nedoroscik's less dancing talent and experience, the pair has impressed in the 33rd edition and reached the Finale after a delightful Cha Cha and Tango performance in the semifinals.

Following their semifinal win, Nedoroscik and Arnold engaged in a fun music challenge on Instagram to see who could remember the music more accurately. The pair chose the theme song of the NBC sitcom FRIENDS 'I'll Be There for You' but the two-time Olympic lost after clapping first.

After several fans commented that Nedoroscik's musicality was bad, the Olympian clarified himself with an explanatory video on TikTok, claiming he had only listened once to the song before recording the video.

"Everyone is saying my musicality is bad. Look how early I am compared to Rylee but what you guys don't know is I only listened to it one time," he explained

The world champion further edited the video to make himself win by cutting out the first few seconds of the music to time his claps perfectly to the sound.

"I was dead on everybody. I didn't know that section of music played twice," he added jokingly.

While Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold are excellent dancing partners, the pair share a good relationship on a personal level as well. Speaking about their relationship in an interview with Shawn Johnson and Andrew East, Nedoroscik said:

"Rylee is an amazing person, like both of us on a personal level, we get along so well."

The 26-year-old also revealed that Arnold sometimes needs to take up the role of a Sergeant to teach him moves he struggles to learn easily.

"We are great friends but she is a good coach and she knows that sometimes it's drill sergeant Rylee time. Like yesterday I was not learning my step and for me I'm just like, 'oh man I feel bad cuz I'm wasting Rylee's time' and in her head, she's like we are so cooked and I'm like, 'Rylee please, let me just calm down," Stephen Nedoroscik added.

However, Nedoroscik noted that it was for the best and the only way he could learn. He will compete for the prestigious Mirror Ball Trophy on November 26, hoping to become only the seventh Olympian in history to win it.
