“Not really it was a pretty smooth transition because yeah we are just trying to keep me going quick as much as possible. So not much has changed in that aspect and we do just have so many offensive weapons like it works a lot when we're in practice running this double quick thing like maybe we should try it out in a game and then it worked out and so we're just kind of stuck with it,” she shared [onwards 0:45]

Lauren Stivrins reflects on changes between two volleyball cultures
Lauren Stivrins, who has begun a new chapter in professional volleyball with LOVB Omaha, shared her thoughts regarding her playing days in Italy. During an episode on the podcast “Volleyball State with Lincoln Arneal and Jeff Sheldon” the iconic athlete revealed her thoughts.
“It's so like the volleyball, there's extreme. There's high highs and low lows over there, like when it's good, it's great and when it's bad, it's like nothing you've ever experienced before. I think also coming from a program like Nebraska I'm blessed with the best. I had the best trainers and the best nutritionists and doctors and whatever all at our disposal and over there it's not really that same way.” [onwards 39:21]
She further continued,
“It was all a learning experience. I'm very grateful for everything that I went through over there. I feel like it taught me a lot about myself and things like that but I'm definitely happy to be back in the States and playing volleyball here.” [onwards 42:01]
Stivrins also shared that due to her injuries, she took time to transition on the international court. Further mentioning the competitiveness of the atmosphere, she shared, “overseas everyone can hit every shot from every spot on the court”. Her teammates came from different parts of the globe in Florence and she felt how “it was so cool to see women's sports like be appreciated in the way”.
Lauren Stivrins was twice named to the AVCA All-America First Team and played more than twenty NCAA Tournament matches further tying the NCAA record as per LOVB. Apart from playing professional volleyball, she has inculcated many off-field passions including traveling and fashion.
