Ex-Nebraska star Lexi Rodriguez recently made her feelings known about making her debut for League One Volleyball (LOVB). The player turned pro after concluding her 2024 season with a semifinal loss at the NCAA Volleyball Championship.

Her team led the match in the first two sets; however, the latter picked up momentum from the third set and won the match, 23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 28-26, and 15-13.
Following this, Rodriguez turned pro with the LOVB Omaha team and recently made her debut, playing her first official game for the team on January 25 against Madison. LOVB dominated the match with the score 3-1.
Moments after this, Lexi Rodriguez reshared a Husker Volleyball post on her Instagram, which carried a photo of her and her teammates from the match. Expressing her emotions about her pro debut, she wrote:

Lexi Rodriguez opened up about transitioning to a pro career from a collegiate level
In a press conference with LOVB, Lexi Rodriguez opened up about her experience of turning into a pro athlete. She spoke about her teammates giving her a warm welcome and also revealed that there are a lot of things she has to adjust to. Calling this change awesome, she said:
“It's been super crazy, definitely a complete 180. It also feels like I've been here way longer than just a couple weeks. So that's pretty awesome and a huge shout-out to just the coaching staff and the players for giving me a warm welcome. But yeah, I mean finishing off and then being here a few days later was definitely a lot to adjust too,” Rodriguez said.
The former Nebraska player recently revealed her favorite memory while she was playing for the team. Reminiscing the moment when she was lauded by the Husker's fans at Memorial Stadium, she called it one of the most memorable moments. Along with this, she also recalled spending time with her teammates in the locker room.
"There are so many. I mean there are matches that are so memorable. I remember like Memorial Stadium like nothing could really like top that experience. Just having a world record and being able to play in front of that many Husker fans and just being able to do that was unreal. I think most important to me was always just my teammates. Just the memories that you make in the locker room, travel trips, I think all of that is just the most memorable for me."
Following her exit from the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Rodriguez penned a heartfelt note for her team members.
