“It's been super crazy, definitely a complete 180. It also feels like I've been here way longer than just a couple weeks. So that's pretty awesome and a huge shout-out to just the coaching staff and the players for giving me a warm welcome. But yeah, I mean finishing off and then being here a few days later was definitely a lot to adjust too,” she said.

Rodriguez was one of the best players coming from Nebraska and amassed multiple honors under her belt. She has also competed for the US National team under two categories, and last year contested in the NORCECA Pan American Cup Final Six Volleyball Tournament with them.

The rising athlete completed her bachelor's degree in advertising and public relations. She attended Sterling High School and played a prominent role in her team leading them to two Illinois State Titles.

“Just everyone, every single person a part of this program. It's just truly amazing people. And they really changed my life. And they just believed in me. Every single person. Every single day. From the moment that I stepped on campus. And you can't find that anywhere. You truly can't. So, I'm just so grateful for everyone and I'll say it for my entire life. That this program was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she summarised.

Additionally, Lexi Rodriguez was the fifth Husker to get four career first-team all-conference selections considering the school's history. With her affectionate and emotive stance on the program, she shed light on how it played a vital role in her life.

The trailblazing libero from Illinois was also the Nebraska Female Newcomer of the Year 2021-2022 and the AVCA Region Player of the Year 2024. Rodriguez will continue to build her legacy as she begins her professional career after concluding her iconic stint with the Huskers.
