Jonathan Owens showed excitement over his wife Simone Biles' new Netflix Docuseries, Simone Biles Rising, which is set to premiere on July 17. He wished the world to see the "human side" of arguably the greatest gymnast of all time.

Biles and Owens tied the knot in 2023 and have been making several media appearances together since then. In Owens' NFL matches in 2023, Biles cheered on him in Green Bay Packers' customized attires and garnered love for her efforts.

Owens returned the favor and sat in the audience and lauded Simone Biles' all-around title-winning performances at the 2024 US Classic and US Championships. As the impact of his wife's wins still lingered, he took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to celebrate her latest achievement.

The Netflix docuseries, Simone Biles Rising, which will premiere a month later, captured Owen's heart since the world will witness the human side of the gymnast he 'fell in love with'. His tweet on Netflix's official trailer launch post read:

"A month away!! Excited for the world to finally get to know her human side, the one i fell in love with, not just the competitive gymnast. I’m so happy for you baby."

In the video montage, Biles spoke about 'twisties', which she faced at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and withdrew midway through the competition. Since then, she has been a mental health advocate and an integral support system for her athlete friends struggling with similar roadblocks.

She also shared that the mental blocks were a trauma response. Her mother Nellie, former teammate Aly Raisman, and husband Jonathan Owens, talked about her gritty nature and inspirational presence in the athletic world.

After opening herself up to the world and healing, Biles confirmed that she was 'going for another Olympic run'.

The four-time Olympic gold medalist closely watched her husband play in the 2023 NFL match. But a week before its commencement, she lent a piece of advice as she thought Owens was thinking too much on the field and playing 'slow'.

"It messed me up because it's like: 'My lady is telling me this, so do I really need to...' but she knows what she's talking about when it comes to mental health. When she said that, it kind of hit me: 'Man. I guess I am,'" he said (via Go Long).

He added:

"I addressed stuff that I didn't know that I was struggling with. But she brought it to my attention. Once you do that mental work, your mind is a powerful weapon."

Since he started his career as a free agent, Owens was often preoccupied with the fear of being analyzed. On his wife's advice, he saw the Packers' psychologist and anchored his team to the win in the following match.
