Femke Bol makes her feelings known on 2024 as the year comes to a close

Dutch track and field athlete Femke Bol recently expressed her feelings as 2024 concludes. Bol had a notable year in 2024, during which she not only clinched three Olympic medals but also performed impressively at the Indoor World Championships and the European Championships, winning the 400m and 400m hurdles titles respectively.

Additionally, she was also a finalist for European Athlete of the Year 2024 but lost the award to Yaroslava Mahuchikh. She recently shared a note in which she opened up about the memories she derived from the year.

Bol took to her Instagram handle to share a picture with the Dutch flag and wrote a heartfelt note as she steps into the new year. The 24-year-old's text overlay read in her first story:

"A year full of happiness, love, hard work, lessons and so much more. Got to spend all of it with amazing, loving people around me, couldn't ask for more."

Further showcasing her 2024 Paris Olympic medals, Bol added in the second story:

"So many memories made maybe I'll make a recap later, but for now I am going to celebrate the end of this year."

Following a successful year in 2024, Bol has already started preparing for the 2025 season, during which she will defend her 400m hurdles title at the World Championships.

Femke Bol recently opened up about her feelings about being the ambassador for the 'Always' campaign.

In a recent Instagram post, Bol said she was proud to have been associated with the campaign for the last two years. She also mentioned working for women on issues such as period poverty and anxiety with the Netherlands team. Bol wrote:

"Being an Always ambassador for the last 2 years has been truly inspiring ✨I am proud to have been working together on beautiful campaigns such as the fight against period poverty, and raising awareness for period anxiety together with TeamNL towards Paris 2024."

The Always campaign started in 2014 and is focused on strengthening the thought process of young girls and building up their confidence.
