Olympic champion sprinter Femke Bol recently shared glimpses of her training session. The 24-year-old athlete is preparing for the upcoming season of 2025, after a roller coaster season in 2024.
Bol uploaded a reel of her training session on her Instagram story, where she was lifting weights in the gym. She also captioned it,
"Good start of the last week here".
The Dutch athlete also uploaded a few photographs from her training session on Instagram. In one of such posts, she wrote,
"Running, hurdles, smiles, sore muscles, all is good 🥰"
Bol also expressed her feelings on the 2024 season, as she wrote in a post on Instagram in September,
"It’s been an absolutely crazy year full of moments I’ll cherish forever 🤩
From world indoor champion in a world record to defending our European titles, going sub51 on the 400 hurdles, to winning 🥇🥈🥉 at the Olympics and finishing it off as Diamond League Trophy winner in Brussels 💭
The road to all of this has been just as beautiful as the achievements, thanks to my amazing team"
Femke Bol had ended her season on a high note with a victory at the Diamond League finals in Brussels. Bol is hopeful of a better performance in the 2025 season.
Femke Bol's top performances in the 2024 season
In 2024, Dutch athlete Femke Bol had one goal in mind: overcome the might of Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. She began on a positive note, breaking the 51-second barrier in the run-up to the Paris Olympics, as she clocked 50.91 seconds.
Bol nailed it at the World Indoor Championships, winning gold medals in both 400m and 4x400m relay events for the Netherlands. She was all set to put forward a great show at the Paris Olympics.
At the Paris Olympics, Bol surprised everyone by winning a gold medal in the 4x400m mixed relay event for the Netherlands. Though she couldn't repeat the same performance in the 4x400m women's relay event, the silver medal was nothing less than historic for the Netherlands.
However, despite a great start, Bol once again missed out on the coveted 400m hurdles title. She finished behind Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Anna Cockrell of the USA to clinch a second consecutive bronze medal.
Despite the setback, Femke Bol participated in the Wanda Diamond League finals held in Brussels. She won her fourth consecutive title with a timing of 52.45 seconds.
