Femke Bol offered a glimpse of her final outdoor session in anticipation of her 2025 track season. She achieved massive success in 2024, winning three medals at the Paris Games.
Bol started her year with a 400m short track meeting record at the 2024 Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais, posting the fourth-best result of all time. She then improved her 400m short track world record at the 2024 Dutch Indoor Athletics Championships, followed by breaking another record at the World Indoor Championships.
Bol took the 4x400m relay team to victory at the World Relays, securing a Paris Olympic spot. The Dutch then defended her 400m hurdles title at the European Championships, en route to the Paris Olympics. In the latter event, she faced her fiercest rival, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone in the hurdles, finishing in bronze behind the latter's world record-breaking feat.
Bol earned her debut Olympic gold in the mixed 4x400m relay and silver in the 4x400m behind the US team. Boasting four Olympic laurels, the 24-year-old took to her Instagram to update about her last outdoor training session.

This came a week after Femke Bol posted a video montage of her first training week at Maties Athletics, the athletics club for the students of the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. She started training after spending a Sicilian vacation with her boyfriend, Ben Broeders.

Femke Bol recorded a successful season in 2024, breaking records and winning podiums in the 400m and 400m hurdles. She capped her season with the fourth consecutive 400m hurdles title at the Diamond League finals.
Looking back at her success, Bol penned a note on Instagram, to express gratitude to her team and bask in the glory of her achievements.
"It’s been an absolutely crazy year full of moments I’ll cherish forever. From world indoor champion in a world record to defending our European titles, going sub51 on the 400 hurdles, to winning 🥇🥈🥉 at the Olympics and finishing it off as Diamond League Trophy winner in Brussels. The road to all of this has been just as beautiful as the achievements, thanks to my amazing team," the caption read.
The four-time Olympic medalist became the second athlete after Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone to run under 51s in the 400m hurdles. Her time of 50.95 was the third-fastest of all time. Bol received the TeamNL Kids Hero of the Year award at Sportgala 2024.
