Tara Davis-Woodhall engaged in a fun banter with her husband Hunter Woodhall, trying various tricks to convince him to skip lifting in the gym. The couple recently shifted from Arkansas to Kansas after Travis Geopfert appointed the long jumper as the assistant coach of the K-State track and field team.

Tara Davis-Woodhall finished sixth in the long jump at the Tokyo Olympics and made up for the loss at the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning the gold with a distance of 7.10m. Not long after, her husband Hunter Woodhall soared to his first Olympic gold podium in the 400m T62 event at the Paris Paralympics.

Basking in the glory of their successes, the couple updated about their shift to Kansas after Woodhall was made an assistant coach for the Kansas State University's track and field team.

In a recent Instagram post, the couple engaged in a hilarious banter before hitting the gym to lift after some time off.

"The first step is always the worst," read the caption.

In the video, Tara Davis-Woodhall was sitting inside the car when her husband repeatedly requested her to step out and head to the gym.

"You gotta lift," said the Paralympian.
"No, I don't want to. I'm in the driver's seat," the wife responded, smiling.

Hunter Woodhall then tried to say how they came to the gym but the long jumper failed to listen, rather giving the excuse of Thanksgiving.

"I think It's okay. It's Thanksgiving,"

Almost convinced, the five-time Paralympic medalist tried convincing her again.

"No, let's go."

The long jumper then hilariously declared that she ran out of coffee but nodded her head in negation when her husband proposed heading to the gym after coffee.

"Let's just do it first like a few blocks," said Hunter Woodhall.

Convinced but not totally, Tara replied:

"Might as well do it all."

However, things took a turn when the long jumper finally tricked him into getting inside the car and started driving, both bursting into laughs.
