Lexi Rodriguez, the former Nebraska volleyball standout, recently expressed her excitement on social media ahead of her League One Volleyball (LOVB) debut. In December 2024, she joined LOVB Omaha after concluding a stellar collegiate career with the Huskers.

In December 2024, LOVB Omaha announced her addition to the roster alongside several former Nebraska teammates, including Madi Kubik, Jordan Larson, and Justine Wong-Orantes. Rodriguez will make her professional debut on January 18 against LOVB Madison at the Wisconsin Field House.

The 21-year-old shared the update on her Instagram story, posting a photo along with a caption tagging the match venue:

Lexi Rodriguez, four-time All-American and All-Big Ten selection, capped her illustrious career with Nebraska Volleyball following a hard-fought loss to Penn State in the NCAA semifinals. She set a program record with 1,897 career digs, solidifying her place as the Husker's all-time leader in the category.

Her exceptional defensive prowess earned her Big Ten Defensive Player/ Libero of the Year honors three times. This season, she was also one of the four finalists for the prestigious AVCA National Player of the Year Award, underscoring her remarkable impact on collegiate volleyball.

The 21-year-old recently expressed her excitement as Rodriguez begins her professional journey with LOVB Omaha.

Lexi Rodriguez left an enduring legacy at Nebraska Volleyball with her remarkable performances and leadership. She became one of three players in history to earn AVCA All-American honors in all four seasons of her collegiate career, including First Team selections in 2021, 2023, and 2024.

Throughout her time with the Huskers, she played a crucial role in consistently leading the Big Ten in opponent hitting percentage, underscoring her impact on the team's defensive dominance.

In December 2024, the former Nebraska player joined LOVB Omaha. Reflecting on the transition in a January 2025 Instagram video, she described her emotional journey of closing one chapter and beginning another, expressing her excitement and gratitude.

"Obviously, today it's been a whirlwind of emotions because I'm ending one journey and starting the next and just being able to call myself a professional.
