Fred Kerley, the two-time Olympic sprinter of the United States, responded to a fan who predicted that the runner wouldn't end up on the 100-meter podium at the Paris Olympics. The American runner went on to secure the bronze in the event.

Before the Olympics began, there was some debate surrounding Fred Kerley's podium finish in the 100-meter race. A fan on X (formerly Twitter) predicted that Kerley would finish third, while another fan suggested that he would be replaced by Marcell Jacobs.

"Lol Fred [Kerley] not making the podium… im sorry i feel like Jacobs iwill show up for Olympics," the fan wrote.

Following the conclusion of the event, where the 29-year-old came out winning a bronze medal, Fred Kerley reacted to the fan's prediction, giving a fitting reply:

"Damn son look like you was right."

Kerley participated in the second successive Olympics event in Paris recently, where he was lined up against a star-studded lineup of Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek, Marcell Jacobs, Kishane Thompson, and others for the 100m finals on August 5.

In one of the most thrilling finishes to a 100-meter race, Lyles secured the first career gold in a photo finish, while Thomson took the second spot on the podium, with both runners clocking 9.79 seconds. Kerley took home the bronze with a time of 9.81 seconds. Notably, it was one of the rare instances in Olympic history where all the 100-meter participants clocked a sub-10 finish.

Following the race, Kerley, along with Christian Coleman, Kenny Bednarek, and Kyree King, competed in the 4x100m relay finals on August 9, where a mix-up between Coleman and Bednarek in the first baton hand-off led to the American team's seventh-place finish and ultimately to a disqualification for running out of zone.

While the Paris Olympics were still underway, Ashley Spencer took to her X and asked Fred Kerley if there was any chance that he could be seen competing in the 400m events again, a distance that used to be his forte back in the day before he switched to 100m and 200m.

Before Kerley could respond, Vernon Norwood joined the conversation and made a pointed remark, writing:

"When I started running faster you notice he stepped down to 100m. That’s all you needed to know."

To which Kerley replied with his best 400-finish and wrote:

"I drop 43 on your head."

The "43" refers to his best 400m finish of 43.64 seconds that he clocked in 2019, and it is also the 10th fastest time ever recorded in that distance.
