2024 Paris Olympics bronze medalist, Fred Kerley, recently shared pictures from his boxing sessions. This comes just a few days after he concluded his 2024 track and field season with the 2024 Diamond League finals in Brussels.
Kerley went through a successful 2024 season that saw him clinch an Olympic bronze at the Paris quadrennial event and clinch numerous podium finishes in prestigious tournaments such as the Diamond League events and World Athletic meets.
Following the conclusion of his successful campaign, Kerley has touched upon practicing an entirely new discipline - boxing. The 29-year-old San Antonio sprinter recently took to his official Instagram handle to share some snaps from his boxing practice session.
In his story, Kerley also tagged the owner of the developmental group Trufit Athletics, Joey Scott, who trains him. He wrote:

Fred Kerley clinched a third-place finish at the Diamond League finals in Brussels
After not attaining a podium finish at the Zurich Diamond League meet in 2024, Fred Kerley came back strongly in the Belgian capital. The 29-year-old clinched a third-place finish in the Men's 100m event clocking a run time of 10.01 seconds.
Kerley's Jamaican counterpart, Ackeem Blake, won the 100m event after registering a run time of 9.93 seconds, the only athlete in the meet to breach the 10-second barrier at the meet.
After his third-place finish in the event, Kerley said his performance at the Brussels event didn't meet his expectations as he was aiming to win the Diamond League finals. The 30-year-old also reflected on the 2024 season saying (via Wanda Diamond League):
"I am only satisfied if I win and today I didn´t win unfortunately. But it has been a great season so I really can´t complain. I felt good throughout the season which is important. The fans today were good and for now I will have some rest."
Kerley also competed in the 200m distance event in Brussels held on Saturday (September 14). However, the two-time Olympic medalist failed to earn a top-three finish at the event. His United States counterpart, Kenny Bednarek, won the event clocking a run time of 19.67 seconds. Kerley finished fifth in the event with a run time of 20.21 seconds.
