Simone Biles' coach Cecile Landi weighs in on her positive and athlete-centered coaching method
Simone Biles' coach Cecile Landi recently opened up on her positive and athlete-centered coaching method. In an interview with Flipping Out with Bridget Sloan, when asked to weigh upon her coaching approach, she said:
"I would say it's past experiences as an athlete as well. I just remember in the nineties, I was and figured there must be a better way to do this. And I'll give credit to all the athletes that we had for the past 20 years. We have grown with them. They have helped us understand that there's a better way to do this and we were able to follow their leads."
Landi added:
"The technical was there but the rest, honestly, it's all the girls we have been blessed to coach that have helped us grow and become who we are today."
Landi credited the athletes she and her husband coached for helping them grow and improve as coach.
