Gabby Thomas, who is poised to represent her country at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which is already underway, was seen hanging out with some renowned faces ahead of competing in her event. She and her boyfriend, Spencer Mcmanes, hung out with the American models Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber and fashion designer Kevin Germanier in an event organized by her brand partner Omega.
Thomas qualified for the 200m dash at the Paris Olympics after producing a stellar performance in the US Olympic trials. She clocked a time of 21.81s to stand atop the podium, and was followed by Brittany Brown and McKenzie Long, who secured second and third places, respectively.
The 2024 Summer Games have now commenced, and the American athlete is set to compete in the 200m discipline. However, she was seen spending quality time with her boyfriend ahead of her event.
Thomas shared a bunch of pictures on social media where she was seen at an Omega event with her boyfriend and the American stars, Crawford, Gerber, and Germanier. She donned a black dress and struck poses with her companions. The post's caption read:
"What a night. Thank you @omega for your hospitality during the games and for an incredble evening. Not a bad way to unwind before my competition starts!"
Gabby Thomas shares her bucket list for the Paris Olympics 2024
Gabby Thomas recently opened up about her bucket list for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Along with clinching gold in the 200m dash, the 27-year-old also wants to enjoy the scenic view of Paris by climbing atop the Eiffel Tower.
She unveiled this wish in a recent interview with Essence, saying that she never got the time to explore Paris and that she wants to do the things that are left for her to do.
"I have been to Paris before, but when I went previously, I didn’t have a ton of free time to explore," Gabby Thomas said. "So, this time around, I’d love to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower and actually climb up there because I didn’t get to do that last time."
Additionally, she also shared that Paris was one of the top travel destinations on her bucket list.
"Paris has always been one of my top two destinations for my favorite places to go travel to – especially to run, so I’m very excited about the upcoming Games and the opportunity to run in the city again."
Gabby Thomas' 200m heats and semi-finals at the Paris Olympics will be held on August 4 and 5, and the finals of the event will be held on August 6.
