Days after winning three gold medals at the Paris Olympics, Gabby Thomas was recently seen enjoying a pickleball game with her boyfriend Spencer McManes. Thomas is set to participate in Alexis Ohanian's Athlos NYC event, which will take place in four days.
In the second Olympic outing of her career, Thomas upgraded her 200m Tokyo Olympics bronze to gold by besting St. Lucia's Julien Alfred and fellow American Brittany Brown with a time of 21.83 seconds. The Harvard graduate then went on to win two more gold medals in the women's 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay while setting a new American record in the latter discipline alongside Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.
To celebrate her 200m gold in Paris, Thomas went running towards her boyfriend Spencer McManes, who was present in the bleachers, to cheer her on.
Thomas and McManes have been a couple since October 2022, and he often gets spotted rooting for his girlfriend during her races. The Atlanta native and her boyfriend met during their time in Austin, Texas. McManes graduated from Yale University, where he played college football for the same institution. He was also there when the 27-year-old got her Master's degree in May 2023.
In a recent update, the couple enjoyed a game of pickleball together, a video of which was shared by Maggie Brown, the co-founder and CEO of Recess Pickleball, on her Instagram handle. Gabby Thomas reposted the video on her handle, where she could be seen sporting white pickleball gear.
