Gabby Thomas lauded Angel Reese, an NBA player, for winning an award at the FNAA 2024 held on December 4, 2024. The American sprinter also accepted an award on behalf of New Balance.
Thomas had a stellar 2024 season, winning three gold medals at the Paris Olympics in the 200m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay events. She won the first gold medal of the event in the 200m, where she bested Julien Alfred and Brittany Brown to stand atop the podium. Following the 2024 Summer Games, she competed at the Athlos NYC event, where she ran in the 200m dash and attained second place, being bested by her Olympic contender, Brittany Brown.
Following this, she enjoyed her off-season and recently commenced her training for the 2025 season. Amid this, she recently appeared at the Footwear News Achievement Awards (FNAA) 2024 at Cipriani South Street in New York City. The Olympic champion represented New Balance when the brand won the Company of the Year Award.

Gabby Thomas has been associated with New Balance since 2018 and once spoke about the significance of being a part of the brand.
Gabby Thomas opened up about partnering with New Balance
In an interview with Track and Field News in June 2022, Gabby Thomas opened up about signing with New Balance during college. In 2018, the 27-year-old delivered exceptional performances, having won 22 conference titles and a win in the 200m dash at the Division 1 NCAA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships. This year she was offered a deal with New Balance, and in the interview four years later, Thomas opened up about why she chose the brand while turning pro.
"I wasn’t even sure if I was gonna go pro until kind of just before it happened. I didn’t know what being a professional track athlete looked like or what it entailed... But it just kind of happened, and New Balance ended up being such a great partnership because they’re in Massachusetts, a Boston-based brand, and I’d been wearing it my entire collegiate career and I’m from Massachusetts," Gabby Thomas said.
She added:
"They’re kind of a family brand. So it was such a great fit and I felt so welcome to join it and I ended up signing with them."
Thomas recently signed a deal with Michael Johnson's Grand Slam Track on November 26, 2024.
