Gabby Thomas unlocked a major achievement after being named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 List. The U.S. Olympian enjoyed remarkable success in 2024, both on and off the track, and was overjoyed to receive the nomination.

Thomas became the first American track and field athlete in 12 years to win three gold medals at the one edition of the Olympic Games when she achieved the feat at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She won medals in women's 200m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay in Paris.

The 27-year-old also partnered with Serena Williams' husband and Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian to launch first ever women's only track league, Athlos. She competed in the 200m during the league's inaugural race in New York, finishing second behind Olympic bronze medalist Brittany Brown.

Thomas' achievements are now being celebrated globally as the American is named among the top 30 sportspersons in the world. The 27-year-old was delighted to receive the recognition for her 'passion and perseverance', and wrote on Instagram:

"This journey has been passion, perseverance, and an incredible support system. Honored to be named to the @forbesunder30 list for 2025 🙌🏽 "

Other Olympic athletes named in the list include Pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis, American union rugby player Ilona Maher, and American long jumper Tara Davis-Woodhall.

The 27-year-old was nominated for the USATF Jackie Joyner-Kersee Athlete of the Year alongside Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Masai Russel, Valaire Allman, and Tara Davis-Woodhall. While all of them had won Olympic titles in Paris, Thomas' triple gold medal triumph stood out, and she was crowned the Female Athlete of The Year.

Thomas has signed with Michael Johnson's Grand Slam Track for its inaugural season in 2025. While she predominantly competed over 200m and 400m during the 2024 season, she is expected to return to short sprints and will likely double 100-200m in Johnson's league, whose first slam is scheduled for April 3-5 in Kingston, Jamaica.
