Gabby Thomas had a phenomenal 2024 season, having won three gold medals at the Paris Olympics. The American has now begun training for the upcoming year, and recently gave fans a hilarious insight into her training session, as she exchanged beauty tips with her coach.
After a busy 2024, Thomas took a brief break to enjoy some time away from the track. The sprinter is now back to her regular schedule, training for the next season which will give her the opportunity to claim her maiden World Championships individual gold-medal.
Recently, Thomas’ coach, Bailey Tonja, shared a video of the reigning 200m Olympic champion in practice, where she can be heard asking in between sets,
“How do you get your curls like that?”
To this, Tonja replied,
“Rollers. The flexi rod ones. I put mousse on them. No hear. Mousse and roller.

Thomas began her 2024 season indoors, winning the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. She then went on to win several outdoor competitions, including the US Olympic Trials and the London Diamond League. Up next, the American arrived at the Paris Olympics, where she won gold in the 200m, the 4x100m, and 4x400m relay, making her the only track and field athlete at the Games to win three gold medals.

For her incredible season, Gabby Thomas was named the 2024 Jackie Joyner-Kersee Athlete of the Year awardee by the USATF. The American received her honor on Saturday, December 2, at the USATF Night of legends event.
Thomas showed up to the event in a stunning black and golden dress, and delivered an inspiring speech while accepting the award, encouraging kids to always go after their dreams.
“To the young girls and boys who might be watching, believe in yourself. When I was younger, I had big dreams too. Dreams that oftentime scared me because I felt like they were too far away. But here's what I want you to know, you are capable of far more than you imagine. The world will try to will you to be realistic or to do things a certain way, or that certain things aren't meant for you. Don't listen, " she said.
While Gabby Thomas and her team haven't revealed the sprinter's competitive schedule for 2025 yet, she has signed with Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam Track, which means that fans will get to see her in action at the competition’s four meets.
