After an incredible season, Gabby Thomas is back to the grind, training for her last competition of the year. The sprinter was America's only track and field athlete to win three golds at the Paris Olympics and recently shared a small update on her training schedule with fans.

Thomas began her season back in February, with a win in the 300m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. From there, the American remained unbeaten until May, claiming titles at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, LSU Alumni Gold, and the World Athletics Relays.

In May, fans were concerned after the Harvard graduate finished sixth in the 200m and fourth in the 100m at the USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix. However, the American revealed she was in the middle of intense training and hadn't been feeling her best before the meet.

In June, Gabby Thomas got back to winning ways, finishing first at the USATF New York City Grand Prix. She followed this up with a dominant showing at the U.S Olympic Trials before heading to the Paris Olympics.

At the Stade De France, Thomas claimed the 200m gold and followed it up with wins in the 4x100m as well as the 4x400m relays. Now, she's back on the track to train for her last competition of the year and shared a training update with fans on her Instagram story. Alongside a video of herself out of breath, the sprinter wrote,

“89°F feels like 100,000 degrees.”

After her incredible campaign at the Paris Olympics, Gabby Thomas will return to action one last time this year, for the Athlos track meet. The event is organized by Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian, and will feature only female athletes.

Athlos is scheduled to take place on September 26, on the tracks of the Icahn stadium. Thomas will be running in the 200m, and fans can tune in to watch the sprinter live on YouTube, X, ESPN & DAZN, a broadcast list that has earned the praise of the American herself.

Joining Thomas in the 200m will be Brittany Brown, Tamara Clark, Jenna Prandini, Torrie Lewis, and Anavia Battle. Brown will be Thomas' closest competitor, having won a bronze in the distance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as well as a World Championships silver in 2019.
