Gabby Thomas was ecstatic after gracing the Winter Issue of Vogue magazine. The American is fresh off an impressive season in 2024 and has had a 'dream' start to the new year.
Thomas turned up the glamor in a photoshoot for Vogue, later claiming it was a dream come true for her to get featured in the magazine. The three-time Olympic champion expressed her disbelief over the dream come true moment in an Instagram story on Wednesday, writing:
"Omg."
Thomas held a copy of Vogue's Winter Issue featuring her on the cover in the Instagram story. In an interview with the magazine, she also claimed that she had upped her fashion game the past year.
"I’ve been so in athlete-world, I feel like I’m just starting to get a sense of what I like. Not that I don’t have my own style. I do, but then I put on something like that white Carolina Herrera dress that I wore to the show, and it’s like, Oh, oh-kaay. Since then I’ve been doing more ‘pretty’ looks. And more polished. Same with the hair and makeup, I’m growing with that too," Gabby Thomas said.
The five-time Olympic medalist turned heads at the New York Fashion Week, attending and getting ready for the Carolina Herrera show all by herself. She also presented at the Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards while making her SI Swimsuit debut as well.
Gabby Thomas reveals her favorite fashion moment of 2024
Speaking with Vogue during the photoshoot, Gabby Thomas revealed that the stylish Tommy Hilfiger combination she wore at the US Open was her favorite fashion moment of the year. The 28-year-old wore pale bluish jeans and a shirt paired with a black sweater and claimed the combination channeled her inner Zendaya.
"When I was dressed in Tommy Hilfiger for the US Open this past fall, I was channeling my inner Zendaya, my fashion icon," Thomas said.
Thomas also wore Tommy Hilfiger, a brown overcoat over a white dress, at the brand's New York Fashion Week show.
The 28-year-old has started her preparations for the 2025 track season after winning a staggering three gold medals at the Paris Olympics. She will be looking to defend her 200m title at the Tokyo World Championships and win some big money from the Grand Slam Track, where she is likely to compete in the short sprint category of 100m and 200m.
