Gabby Thomas takes up new duties as she interviews Victoria Beckham and Nicki Minaj at Vogue's Forces of Fashion

Following her successful run at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Gabby Thomas stepped into a new role as an interviewer at Vogue's Forces of Fashion event. Thomas became the most decorated American track and field athlete at the Paris Games after securing three gold medals.

The 27-year-old dominated the 200m, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay event at the French capital. She dominated the 200m event by surpassing the 100m Olympic champion Julien Alfred. While Alfred clocked 22.08 seconds, Thomas registered an impressive 21.83 seconds.

Since her glorious feat, the American athlete has been seen at multiple events and media appearances with her recent presence at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion event on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Vogue offices in One World Trade Center in New York City.

At the event, Thomas, who is usually seen giving interviews after the races and at press conferences, switched roles to become the interviewer. She had the opportunity to interact with prominent celebrities including legendary footballer David Beckham's wife and fashion designer Victoria Beckham and the legendary pop star Nicki Minaj.

Vogue Magazine shared a video of Thomas conversing with Beckham. While the former Spice Girls member donned a green dress with red heels, Thomas opted for a stripped bodycon full-length dress and completed the look with black heels and minimal jewelry.

Nicki Minaj expressed her admiration for Gabby Thomas after they met for the first at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion event. Along with Thomas' Olympic success, Minaj also won the Album of the Year award for her studio album, “Pink Friday 2" at the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards on October 15, 2024.

The rapper shared a picture of Thomas interviewing her where she was seen holding the Olympian's gold medal and wrote,

"I love her," wrote Minaj. "Congrats to her. First time meeting her. Loved her instantly."

Apart from her gold medal in the 200m, Thomas also contributed to the team's effort in the women's 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay by running third legs. The American squads clocked staggering times of 41.78 seconds and 3:15.27 to dominate the 4x100m and 4x400m relay events, respectively.
