Harper Murray updated her fans about kicking off her junior year at the University of Nebraska with the women's volleyball team. The student-athlete came fresh off posting strong performances at the NCAA Division I Championships.

Harper Murray, the standout outside hitter for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, was part of the women's volleyball team that advanced to the NCAA semifinals in the past season. Scoring 12 kills, she and her teammates outpaced the Wisconsin Badgers to reach their second consecutive semi-finals, their 12th in coach John Cook's rule and 18th in program history.

The team succumbed to Penn State to end their National title bid, followed by senior Lexi Rodriguez's shift to League One Volleyball. Sticking with Nebraska, Harper Murray began a fresh season with her college. In her Instagram story on January 21, she posted a mirror selfie in casual wear paired with a black leather jacket, captioning:

Last week, Murray took to her Instagram to share a letter her coach John Cook wrote to her eight years ago. At 11, she attended a volleyball camp that Cook stepped up to train. Cherishing the core throwback and the special acclaim of her coach, she said:

"Found this letter that the coach had written to me 8 years ago. Just had to share this, it is so special."

In the letter, the Cornhuskers' coach praised the then 11-year-old's learning ability and assured her of a locker in Nebraska.

"Harper - Thank you for coming to camp. One of the best learners I have coached. Know that you will always have a locker at Nebraska. Hope you can see a match here sometime - Until then dream big! PS: You look great in red--John."

Murray's contribution was integral in qualifying the Nebraska team to the final four at the 2024 National Championships. However, when asked about how she wished the team to grow after Lexi Rodriguez and Beason Merritt's departure, Murray said in December last year (via Hail Varsity on X):

"Like I said earlier, the leadership side of things is going to be big for us. Merritt and Lexi are leaving, and we're going to need people to step up, and that's something I hope to step into, but more mentally, I think that's where the growth is going to come, and physically, volleyball is a game of errors and momentum, so that's always something to keep in back of your head," she said (1:19 onwards).

Murray enjoyed her off-season with her sibling and mother, vacationing in Florida and celebrating the holidays in a glamorous setting.
