"He always playing a little too much"- Masai Russell makes an honest confession about boyfriend Robbie Springfield as she trains for upcoming season

Masai Russell recently opened up about what she thinks of her boyfriend, Robbie Springfield's nature. The couple usually share adorable updates with each other on social media.

Russell concluded her 2024 season after competing at the Athlos NYC meet and before this, she had a successful run at the Paris Olympics. The athlete is currently gearing up for the upcoming track seaso. She also shoots vlogs of her workout sessions for her YouTube, the latest of which featured her gym sessions and a glimpse of her having a conversation with her boyfriend.

Russell picked up Springfield's video call and both of them laughed at each other. Then, the athlete made an honest confession about her boyfriend, saying that he is very much like her and is always playing.

"He always playing. I keep telling everybody if y'all did not know Robie, I swear you would think that he like me bro. He always playing a little too much," said Masai Russell. (7:48 onwards)

The American athlete became an Olympic champion in 2024 as she delivered a stellar perfromance in the 100m hurdles, where she clocked a time of 12.33s in the final and bested Cyrena Samba-Mayela and Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, who claimed second and third place, respectively.

Masai Russell was ecstatic after her Paris Olympics' victory and following this triumph, the American penned a sweet note for her boyfriend, Robbie Springfields. She shared a picture of them together on her Instagram story and then expressed her feelings for him. She extended gratitude toward him for his constant support and also thanked him for guiding her.

“Y’all know I love my man. He means the world to me. He never allowed me to give up on my dreams when I felt like all the odds were against me. When I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you papa for being the best example in your own life to lead and guide me. Forever us," said Masai Russell.

Masai Russell and Robbie Springfield have been dating each other since their college years as both of them were a part of the University of Kentucky. They recently reunited after Russell spent her holidays with her family and the latter shared an adorable selfie of them toghether on her Instagram story.
