Paris Olympics gold medalist Tara Davis-Woodhall made a quiet dig at the meet organizers of her last performance of the Olympic year. She competed in her last meet of the Olympic year at the 2024 Rome Diamond League held on August 30 in Stadio Olympico.

Following her Paris Games glory, where she secured her first Olympic medal by leading the women's long jump, she flew to Italy to cement her prospects as the dominating athlete of the event.

She recorded a stunning distance of 7.02m to surpass Monae Nichols and Quanesha Burks, who posted 6.82m and 6.66m, respectively. Weeks after the end of the 2023-24 season, the Diamond League social media gave a special feature to the female long jump athletes, including Davis-Woodhall.

However, the American athlete reshared the video on her Instagram story, expressing her dissent over what she felt was an inaccurate measurement of her jump. Davis-Woodhall, who enjoyed a successful streak throughout the 2024 season, confidently stated that her jump was beyond the reported jump.

"I'm so glad I cleaned up my jump at the last meet of the season," Davis-Woodhall wrote. "I'm so excited to work off this. Also, let me know if you think that jump was 7.02. I think it was close to 7.20 and he measured wrong."
