Gout has been a staple in Australia's junior national sprinting scene since 2021. However, his achievement of running the 100m in 10.29 seconds is a feat unlike any other, making him the third-fastest sprinter on the U18 world list.

As a video of his performance went viral, fans were quick to heap praise on him, with one X user writing;

“With the right people behind him, he’s gonna be a problem one day.”

Another fan wrote:

“His name is Gout Gout more like Goat Goat. Remember that name. #Olympics”.

Here are some other reactions to the feat:

“Faaack after the 50m mark he looked like someone just pressed fast forward,” one fan wrote.
“Moves like Bolt. It’s scintillating,” another added.
“Wow, 10.2 seconds at just 16 years old is incredible! Looks like a future sprinting star is on the rise. Can’t wait to see what he achieves next!,” one X user enthused.
“So basically he's gonna win gold in LA, huh? Wish we could place our bets now,” a second user chimed in.
