Simone Biles' gymnastics career so far has been nothing less than legendary. With seven Olympic and 30 World Championships medals, Biles has solidified her legacy in the sport, rightfully earning many awards. Apart from these, she has won a lot of other awards for her achievements, that include the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
Commencing her career at the age of 6, Biles has garnered multiple accolades, including the prestigious Laureus World Sports Award and Laureus World Sports Award. In 2016, the year when she grabbed four Olympic gold in the team, all-around, vault, and floor exercise and a bronze medal in balance beam, she was honored with Sportswoman of the Year by the Women's Sports Foundation.
She also received the BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year Award, becoming the only third gymnast after Olga Korbut and Nadia Comăneci, to earn it. The following year, she received the ESPY Award for Best Female Athlete. Biles was the second gymnast to win the award after Nastia Liukin, who won it in 2009.
America's beloved gymnast went on to receive Favorite Female Athlete at the Teen Choice Awards, and Laureus World Sports Award for Sportswoman of the Year in 2017. The following year, along with the other survivors of the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal, Biles was presented with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

Simone Biles secured a silver and bronze medal in the team and balance beam events at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. However, the 27-year-old gymnast stepped back from competing in the finals of the individual all-around event after experiencing twisties, a phenomenon where the gymnast loses the sync between the mind and body while executing a routine.
During the Olympics, she took to Instagram to, stating:
"I truly do feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders."
Since then, she has been a fervent advocate of mental health earning a spot on Time 100's list of the 100 most influential people in the world. She was also honored with the nation's highest honor given to civilians, the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Joe Biden.
After a two-year-long hiatus, Simone Biles make a return to the sport for the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She went on to clinch the Olympic spot to make her third appearance at the Games, for which she was conferred with the Best Comeback Athlete ESPY Award.
