The Olympic year's Swimming World Cup edition was scheduled in Shanghai, China from October 18 to 20 before moving to Incheon, South Korea from October 24 to 26, and concluded at the third stop in Singapore from October 31 to November 2.
Each stop offered prize money of $12,000, $10,000, $8,000, $6,000, $5,500, $5,400, $5,300, $5,200, $5,100, and $5,000 for the first 10 finishers of each event, respectively. Swimmers were permitted to compete in multiple events at each stop, but only their top three scores were combined to determine their total score for that stop.
The top 8 swimmers emerging from the three series were awarded a staggering cash prize with the first three athletes on the table collecting $100,000, $70,000, and $30,000, respectively. An additional cash award was earned by swimmers registering a world record and dominating the same event at all three stops, known as the Triple Crown.

The French swimming star dominated the 100m, 200m, and 400m medley events at all three stops, collecting the Triple Crown's prize money of $30,000, $10,000 for each event. At the Singapore stop, Leon Marchand lowered the world record in the men's 200m IM event to 1:48.88, for which he earned $10,000 more.
He topped the three-stop series with a total of 175.7 points, bagging an additional $100,000.
