Tara Davis Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall have been high school sweethearts, having started dating in 2017 after they met at a high school track meet for the first time. Their journey wasn't always smooth as they spent their college life in a long-distance relationship. However, the track couple overcame all the adversities and eventually got married in 2022.
The couple has now come a long way together and competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics. After accomplishing their first Olympic gold medals, they did not shy away from cheering for each other's success on social media.
Both of them frequently share updates on social media. Hunter Woodhall recently revealed a sweet gesture from Tara Davis-Woodhall even though she was suffering from food poisoning.
On October 22, Davis-Woodhall shared a note on Instagram Threads, where she said that she was suffering from food poisoning.
"Food poisoning the morning before a shoot is thrilling. How has this happened to me 2 times😭 "
Woodhall re-shared this thread and revealed that even though she was puking all night, she did not forget to set an alarm for him.
"Was up all night puking and Tara still took the time to plug in my phone and set my alarm for me. She's a trooper."
Tara Davis-Woodhall penned a motivating note for Hunter Woodhall ahead of Paris Paralympics
Hunter Woodhall competed in the T64 100m and T62 400m races at the Paris Olympics in September 2024. Just a day ahead of his events, Tara Davis-Woodhall penned a heartfelt note for his husband on Instagram. Sharing an adorable picture of both of them lying on the bed together with cute poses and added the note in the caption, which read:
"Prelims tonight. You've been grinding all season for this moment. Your journey begins tonight. Let's do this. Redemption time baby."
Reciprocating his wife's gesture, Hunter Woodhall expressed gratitude toward her after he won a gold medal in the T62 400m.
He also shared a note on his Instagram account, thanking Davis-Woodhall for her support. The American athlete shared a bunch of pictures that showcased him celebrating the win with his wife, with the caption:
"To my wife, I couldn’t do this alone. You built me up and kept me accountable. You believed in me, and helped me grow. You taught me how to enjoy the moment. You showed me how to be a competitor. We did it," he wrote.
Tara Davis-Woodhall also won the first Olympic gold medal of her career at the Paris Olympics after recording a leap of 7.1m in the long jump event, besting the defending champion, Malaika Mihambo.
